** Description changed:

  Tried to install 9.04 BETA (newest) on older laptop (that was running Ubuntu 
9.04 prior edition - FINE.
  Installation failure messages abnormal exits from modprobe /pcspeaker and 
i8204....
  
  This newest version will not install.....
  tried several times....
  stalls on Ubuntu splash screen with red line under icon...
  then after about 10 minutes will give up after hardware drivers   ...... [ ok 
]   -  but the OK never gets printed.. on display.

  Prior version 9.04 FEB 2009 runs fine.

+ I can not run it live at all.  The last version to install and run was 9.04 
Alpha 5.
