Public bug reported:
Hi All,
I am working on a Toshiba A135 and have had Gutsy, Hardy, Intrepid and
now Jaunty all show this problem with the sound card HDA INTEL Realtek
ALC861-VD.
The issue is that the volume does not actually increase until the meter
is around 40% and at about 40% it's extremely quiet, the system does not
actually get loud enough to listen to music or videos until around
70-80%. At 100% the speakers are quite loud so I feel like it I should
be able to hear quiet music much lower than 40%.
Just to be clear, the speakers are basically on mute from 0-40%, can't
hear videos, music, etc....
Thanks all
