Judging from the original error message
ErrorMessage: failed in buffer_write(fd) (11, ret=-1): backend dpkg-deb
during
`./lib/modules/2.6.27-11-generic/kernel/drivers/media/video/cx88/cx88xx.ko'
This is no bug, but you ran out of space on your root drive and dpkg is
very bad at handling out of space issues. I'll convert this into a
question so maybe somebody can help you to recover your system.
