** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Incomplete

I have not modified any of the /etc/pulse/ files. I double checked and
tsched=0 is set in default.pa.

Now what's really interesting is that I came across a suggestion to
rename ~/.gconf and ~/.pulse while pulseaudio is not running since
pulseaudio may not like old settings from an upgrade. I logged out of
gnome and did this from a console. After I did this all the problems
are gone. There's no more pulseaudio messages in syslog, sound output
is perfectly smooth again, no more skips and jumps, and pulseaudio is
not randomly dieing on me anymore.

Is there still a bug here then? I'm thinking this might be invalid
seeing as it was some weird setting somewhere that pulseaudio didn't like.
