I forced a restart from the terminal line by "sudo restart now" what followed was strange.
On first reboot I ended up at the terminal screen. Tried to alt-ctrl-f6 f7 etc but no x. So I rebooted again but this time I ended up at a logon screen. Strange I configured the bootup to autologin. In doing so I ended up in a full working desktop. So I restarted from the desktop again and ended up at the command prompt. So I have again restarted and ended up with a working desktop which I am writing this post. I am going to restart the system again just to make sure that I am in a loop, so wait till my next post to see if I can repeat it. -- 9.04 Regression Release candidate does not install or load https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/363932 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
