Thanks for your bugreport.
It should have keept and restored your previous sources.list file. I just
tested it in my local version of u-m and it seems to be doing the right thing.
Could you please give me the output of:
$ ls -l /etc/apt/ /var/lib/apt/lists
** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Incomplete
** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu)
Assignee: (unassigned) => Michael Vogt (mvo)
