1. add support for hardware based notifications in OSD 1.1 implement such notifications for LCD brightness 2. add support for hardware based audio controls (volume up, down, mute) in hal/gnome-settings-daemon, in collaboration with Henrique 3. add support for other hardware events if possible (e.g. the bluetooth/wifi radio switch or the internal/external display switch) At first sight, #1 looks like it's an all Ubuntu affair while #2 looks more complicated than that. So what is the next step to resolve this? Should we file individual, more detailed bugs for each of the different areas of work?
