Hello,
Thanks a lot for your reply. The /var/log/apt/term.log is attached.
Now this system is working. It seems to me that there were something
wrong with the partition "/". I used the liveCD of 8.10 and found that
the partition where the original "/" locates could not be recognized. It
could not be mounted, either. So I used "fsck" to check and repair it.
Hereafter are some issues which may be relevant.
1) The download was hanged in the last ("the time left had been changed
from "1s") when I upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04, so I canceled it and rerun
the upgrading again.
2) After the upgrading, there were some errors in the routine check of
the partition "/". But I didn't get them before the screen was changed
to black. I forced the computer to shut down and restarted it again.
There was no routine check again and no error message.
3) As what I said before, there was a crash of unknown reason before I
could not boot the system. When the crash happened, I was chatting with
my friend using Pidgin. The evolution was also running. I just found
that pushing the notify mark (on the panel) only returned squares. Then
I couldn't control anything.
4) When I used "fsck" to check and repair the "/". There were many
errors. Some of them were from where "texlive" locates, some of them
were from ".evolution" (sorry, I should have store a log file, but I
didn't).
If you need more information, please let me know.
Thanks again.
