Public bug reported:

I have a small mouse that seems to be recognized in Ubuntu but only
works if I use a PS2 adapter (using Jaunty, but same happened since
Hardy).

The USB ID is 09da:0006, here's the errors I get in dmesg:

[41060.468036] usb 5-1: new low speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 3
[41060.696850] usb 5-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
[41060.698423] usb 5-1: can't set config #1, error -32

I'll attach more info when I have the mouse again (at home now), using:
"apport-collect -p linux <bug#>" (tx. to Ampelbein in #ubuntu-bugs for the
suggestion)
