** Description changed: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nv On jaunty and previous versions of ubuntu the nv driver works and picks the correct resolution it just looks wrong like it is blurred or the wrong resolution i.e. a black line is checkered on a pixel level. A screen shot when viewed on a different driver looks fine. When I drop the resolution from 1280x800 ( the correct resolution ) to 1024 x 768 which looks fine apart from the obvious. I like the nv driver as it is the only one I can get to suspend. The nouveau and nvidia drivers work correctly at the full resolution but do not suspend. Please see attached photo of my screen this was the only way I could capture the fault.
