Public bug reported:
upon clicking on icon in upper tray, the screen changes to the dialogue box
which contains the options for shutting the computer down. Upon clicking the
shutdown icon the screen changes to the black background Ubuntu screen and the
progress slider goes to the end and another similar black backround ubuntu
screen appears with a slider that remains inert.
And just stays put. From there I attempt to shut the cpu down by using the
manual shutoff button. Nothing happens. I have another shutdown button on the
back of the cpu which does work.
Another unrelated bug is that the screen saver does not work.

cannot shut down from screen or front shutdown button on cpu. Needs to shutdown
from rear of cpu.
