You mean that this has worked in intrepid, but not in Jaunty any more?
Where did you install the fdi? Can you please do
lshal > /tmp/hal.txt
(with that fdi in place) and attach it here?
I wonder whether the problem is that hal doesn't see the file any more,
or whether the X11 synaptics driver does not read it any more. Thanks!
