I think I may be experiencing a similar problem on Jaunty, with a
iwl3945 wireless card. On boot, it takes about 60 seconds do get ready,
and after that, it works fine. This problem didn't happened on Intrepid.

There are the /var/log/messages part. See the wlan0 "not ready" and
"ready" interval.
