** Changed in: faumachine (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Triaged
** Changed in: faumachine (Ubuntu)
Assignee: (unassigned) => StefanPotyra (sistpoty)
** Description changed:
- Binary package hint: faumachine
+ Binary package hint: faumachine, version 20090302-0ubuntu2
when starting faumachine, it just hangs (in a busy loop) while creating the
gui.
faumachine starts without problem though when using kde4.
The following combinations don't work:
gnome/gdm w. default settings (desktop effects enabled)
gnome/gdm w.o. desktop effects (not running compiz)
gnome/kdm w.o. desktop effects
that works:
kde4/kdm
it's still quite mysterious what happens, but it seems related to
setting the X file descriptor to non-blocking, and calling
gdk_display_flush on sigio.
