PulseAudio recently started reporting
******** pulseaudio[4397]: module-x11-xsmp.c: X11 session manager not running.

"module-x11-xsmp" (argument: ""): initialization failed.
When this started my sound would intermittently play, but only for 1-3
seconds and then a restart would let it again play for 1-3 seconds. This
with Ubuntu Jaunty Fully updated, as of Today, When This option was
disabled from session management, the sound plays fine, and everything
appears normal.
