Used Synaptic Package Manager (SPM) to install xulrunner 1.9, failed 5. Used SPM to generate the download script for xulrunner (one liner using wget), and ran it 6. Used SPM to install xulrunner .deb; it failed 7. Panel showed message about crash, so followed the steps - first time I've ever reported a bug (I thought it was for Thunderbird, but it seems it was for xulrunner). Thunderbird install was the causing event, so I reported under that. 8. Panel showed another crash (I thought for xulrunner, but seems to be the Thunderbird one). It seems appropriate to report at lowest level of package, since other apps also depend on xulrunner. 9. All attempts to install updates since (and more keep coming in), all fail with xulrunner issue. No point reporting them! I don't know how to fix it, at least, not yet.
