Amazingly i have now been able to run repro.sh without any noticable problems, I decided to start compiz from a terminal was was told that my graphics id 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0c) was blacklisted and I thought well i knew this. but then as I tried to reply to a ubuntu-mail list I noticed my keyboard was not working. I could pulldown menus, my caps lock would toggle on /off but i could not type, i was able to open a terminal with ctrl alt f2 so i ssh into this sick machine and did the https://edge.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-freeze-test instructions. i will have to visit launchpad to paste the files.
