Changes in linux kernel 2.6.30 (right now a rc3):

      Input: i8042 - introduce a tougher reset
      Input: i8042 - add a DMI table for the i8042.reset option
      Input: remove unnecessary synchronize_rcu() call

So i guess it's gonna be ok when this kernel hits the repos... I've tried to
reproduce this bug in some other distro's, Fedora 11 beta has the same problem
but Arch linux runs just fine. They all run the same kernel version 2.6.28 >
the only difference is that ubuntu and fedora uses mkinitramfs and arch
mkinitcpio, maybe it's time for ubuntu to upgrade to mkinitcpio...
