** Description changed: After an update to Ubuntu 9.04rc, there is no more sound. I followed the instructions in the no sound sticky thread but no dice. The computer recognizes the card and alsa is picking up the driver. I purged and reinstalled Alsa but no dice again. I have read several persons - complaining of the same thing after the update. + complaining of the same thing after the update. An update - USB sound + and mic works in Skype, USB sound works in test sound in sound + preferences, USB mic does not work in sound recorder. Sound works + through Alsa Mixer with analog headphones but there is no sound from the + onboard speakers or input from the onboard mic. I am now fully updated + and running 9.04 netbook remix. I tried running from USB, still no sound + from computer speakers.
