After some work, I have been able to get X running pretty well. But every time I boot, it still tries to run in low graphics mode. So it takes ages to boot and I have to login through the command line. It always complains about tiling to the front buffer. I was getting them even before I switched to UXA, although now I only have one error, rather than 3.
I did find https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Troubleshooting/IntelPerformance#Problem:%20%20Huge%20performance%20drop%20with%20UXA%20due%20to%20tiled%20rendering%20disabled but I'm not sure what to do with it. -- [Jaunty] xorg-video-intel goes into low-graphics mode and system crashes after update https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/354735 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
