Same problem exists with ext2-formatted DVD-RAM media in Jaunty; unable to mount with the same error message. Mounting manually at the command line works just fine. Ext2 is in the list of filesystems for /dev/scd0 (my DVD-RAM device).
Also, the icon in the "Computer" icon shows the label of the ext2 filesystem, so it sees that the filesystem is present, it just doesn't mount it when double-clicked. The filesystem type does not have to be specified on the command line when mounting this DVD-RAM, the "mount" program figures it out all on its own. -- After formatting a floppy disk as ext2 with gfloppy, Gnome fails to mount it https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/278380 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
