I am also seeing a failure of compiz after the upgrade from 8.10 to 9.04. It was all working fine on 8.10 and remained working until I did a restart.
Checking for Xgl: not present. xset q doesn't reveal the location of the log file. Using fallback /var/log/Xorg.0.log Detected PCI ID for VGA: Checking for texture_from_pixmap: not present. Trying again with indirect rendering: Checking for texture_from_pixmap: present. Checking for non power of two support: present. Checking for Composite extension: present. Checking screen 1Comparing resolution (1280x1024) to maximum 3D texture size (2048): Passed. Checking for Software Rasterizer: present. Software rasterizer detected, abortingaborting and using fallback: /usr/bin/metacity I think maybe there was is a failure in the upgrade process and I had an abort from the samba upgrade and no request to restart once the entire process was complete, despite the kernel update. I am happy to provide configs/logs etc, but I am still very new to Linux to I would need details on what log and its exact location. -- [rv350] DRI fails; drm module complains about agp ioremap https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/359839 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
