Me too, upgrading from Ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04, (standard desktop). update-manager has no problem fetching the update info, and successfully fetched 1088 of the upgrade files, but stubbornly can not fetch 3 of the upgrade files:

I haven't tried any other mirrors yet. I have retried this 5-6 times since yesterday, with the same results.
