Did you do a dist-upgrade from Dapper or a clean Edgy install?

Ekiga already uses your preferred browser setting since you indicate
seamonkey is opening. I'm not familiar with seamonkey, what behavior do
you expect here? Do you expect seamonkey to open a new tab if already
running? Probably some command line switch of seamonkey can be used to
achieve this and this can be entered as a custom command in gnome-
default-applications-properties.
