I got a kernel panic just now (ie the PC froze completely) and managed
to capture a whole bunch of general protection faults and the panic with
netconsole. The PC actually froze when I opened a new tab in Firefox
rather than when I went to delete a number of files, but there are a
number of ext4 calls in the stack traces including some that look like
ext4_delete_inode so just in case it might be useful for this bug, here
is the netconsole output.
