It's the same behaviour with the new package 1:3.0.1-9ubuntu3_all. the Installationprocess starts, then hangs. when I do Ctrl-C it says: dpkg subprocess killed (--unpack) in the pre-installation-script. I can't save anything or do anything, because at this time the system hangs.
Maybe it is some other problem I am unaware of, but the system is otherwise fully functional as long as I don't attempt any updates. I'd like to get rid of this package (for a start) because it is the second failure of this kind: when I updated with the update-manager at an earlier time the openoffice.org-emailmerge package failed too. I could reinstall the package OK after dpkg --configure -a though, so I thought everything was OK. with the next update I am where I am now.
