I'm actually having the same issue reproducible across 5 systems at my
house and another 2 at my office. App segfaults but doesn't have any
sort of output. Running in debug mode in pidgin, there's also no useful
information there prior to the crash.
This was working during the pre-release just fine but the day of the
launch, there obviously was some sort of change made causing pidgin to
fail under gtalk.
