I have no idea why it would cause a freeze for you, I downloaded and
installed the extension with no problem at all. You are saying it
crashes OOo installing the extension itself and then trying to use any
of the templates after the initial crash as well?
You might want to try moving/removing your ~/.openoffice.org*
directories to see if that helps any.
