Thanks for the very quick response! I moved both .openoffice.org and .openoffice.org2 directories. I then installed it without any errors or freezes. Don't know what changed. I can give you my old .openoffice.org* directories if you're interested. But before yesterday I never used openoffice a lot.
But it's still the same when I try to open a template, it crashes. I made a screencapture in .ogv, the application is in dutch, but you'll probably get the point. I don't really need the extension, but I was interested in it.
