Before updating b43 firmware folder to the one from http://www.omattos.com/broadcom/, I made sure to wait until I got hundreds of "b43-phy0 ERROR: PHY transmission error" (which I always had at startup, even if connexion was established for hours after it). The problems appeared few minutes after I did connect to a VPN.
