It also affects me, Jaunty, laptop is dell XPS M1330. E.g. the profiles
get reset after each reboot, but my .gnome2/gnome-power-manager/ contain
all the data:

$ ls .gnome2/gnome-power-manager/
profile-DELL_NT3408-32175-21357-charging.csv
profile-DELL_NT3408-32175-21357-discharging.csv
profile-DELL_NT3408-36821-21357-charging.csv
profile-DELL_NT3408-36821-21357-discharging.csv
profile-DELL_NT3408-37645-21357-charging.csv
profile-DELL_NT3408-37645-21357-discharging.csv
profile-DELL_NT3408-38480-21357-charging.csv
profile-DELL_NT3408-38480-21357-discharging.csv
profile-DELL_WR0538-86580-100-charging.csv
profile-DELL_WR0538-86580-100-discharging.csv
