Hi Harald, My thinkpad X40 does indeed have an Intel 82852/855G graphics adapter. I thought I had included that information here, but I guess I forgot. After reverting to 2.4 drivers things do seem a little sluggish, but I did not notice a major performance hit. However, I didn't try to do anything too intensive. Later this evening I will try watching a video on it and see how it does.
