Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-evdev

Started happening after upgrading to 9.04 and xserver 1.6

My external logitech mouse (optical with microusb receiver) started
working oddly when using the middle mouse button combined with Alt to
resize windows.

The middle mouse button spontaneously Releases while holding it down. example: 
alt-MMB to resize a window is not usable since it for no apparent reason 
releases the button press without my doing anything.
I have tried the same mouse on xserver 1.5.2 (ubuntu 8.10), and there it works 
as expected.
