When I noticed the recursive fault in the log I tried to shut the machine down, but it instantly rebooted after I confirmed to shut down. Full kern.log attached. I ran a full memory check using the dell diagnostics utility which passed without errors after testing the 4gb of ram for several hours to rule out bad memory as I didn't have these problems in the past. Is it even possible to be a hardware related problem? I don't want to spam the developers with bugs that are not really there, but from the tests I ran it looks like it's really a kernel problem. ** Attachment added: "kern.log_errors" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26028502/kern.log_errors -- 2.6.28-11-generic - BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000000 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/359470 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
