@evan&chris: i am willing to do the packages for the other codecs, but as i wrote in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/opal/+bug/316971/comments/3 the current situation due to #312898 is a bit problematic. meaning that AFAIK i first have to do and host ffmpeg unstripped development packages in the ppa or i have to learn how compile against the unstripped packages in a debian way.
