Having reviewed the website, it seems perfectly fine to me. The "About"
page is clear that Ubuntu is committed to being both free software, and
gratis, and the philosophy page is equally clear about what the word
"free" in "free software" means.
You're definitely right that the About Ubuntu document is confusing
however, I've committed changes to fix it. Thanks for your bug report,
and please feel free to file any others that you find.
