FYI: I can't repro this crash using the attached file. I also ran eog under valgrind and looked at the XMP metadata and valgrind printed nothing. Still I'm not sure if I'm hitting the exempi path in nautilus, maybe you have to do it in a special way for it to call that function? I saw that tracker and tellico also depends on libexempi, so maybe there is some weird combination that when tracker has index the data it happens / doesn't happen or so?
I opened a bug upstream to see if they want repro it: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=580515 ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #580515 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=580515 ** Also affects: nautilus via http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=580515 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in TIFF_Manager::DecodeString() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/361288 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
