Same problem for me. Here the relevant part of dmesg. I'll attach the full dmesg. The Kernel crashes some time (~60 seconds) after GDM is showing up with a newly installed 9.04. 9.04 LiveCD as well as 8.10 livecd doesn't work with the same issue. After unplugging the ACX100 PCI card, the system works. The driver loads the 1.9.8b firmware. I tried the 1.7.0 firmware and it doesn't work either: the oops is pretty much the same but the system doesn't lock up. I couldn't try other firmwares as there are none to try. Karmic and Jaunty have the very same driver for that card. I am willing to extensively debug this issue. But I need guidance. ** Attachment added: "dmesg of a crashing system with a PCI acx100 card and firmware 1.9.8 loading" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/26047417/kern.log.0 -- Intrepid beta kernel panic acx.ko with TNET1130 incorrect firmware version https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283165 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
