** Description changed: Binary package hint: network-manager I have a Sierra Wireless AirCard USBConnect 881U 3G/HSDPA/UMTS USB modem. This device works out of the box on Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex 8.10 but I cannot get it to work using Ubuntu 9.04's NetworkManager. I tried wvdial/wvdialconf but not successful for some reason. I tried gnome-ppp but gnome-ppp prompts for a password that my ISP (Telkomsel Flash) do not require (and therefore must be left empty). I am using UMTSMon to connect and it works flawlessly with this modem, save for some quirks (Firefox/Pidgin detecting as offline etc.) because I'm using UMTSMon, not NetworkManager. Note that I also have Nokia E71 and it works well as 3G modem with NetworkManager. + + ProblemType: Bug + Architecture: i386 + DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04 + Package: network-manager 0.7.1~rc4.1.cf199a964-0ubuntu2 + PackageArchitecture: all + ProcEnviron: + PATH=(custom, user) + LANG=en_US.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash + SourcePackage: network-manager + Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic i686
