I would like to know what update(s) resolved your problem--which sounds to me like you'd be looking for a needle in a hay stack if it was 1 or 2 out of 200+ updates. Unfortunately, I cannot simply install every available update. There are outstanding issues.with the sound subsystem on the HP Mini 1000. If I install every update, I will break my audio output. At this point, the sound is more important that the annoyance of this bug. I will investigate the available updates and perhaps apply some of them selectively to see if I can fix the problem. Again, it would be beneficial to know what specific package(s) need to be patched.
