Martin, I didn't have the right repos open as I'm now booting off a CD as a recent upgrade to WiFi networking won't detect my Intel Wifi card :-( - another bug just reduced.
I only have the laptop running with it's own screen - it will do wide screen in this configuration, but if I attach the external monitor, I loose the ability to have wide screen on the laptop. So now I ran apport-collect for you as you requested and you should have the files for my laptop running solo without the hdmi monitor attached. Tell me if I need to run it again with the external monitor.
