upgraded to 9.04. the upgrade downgraded my displays to be unusable (one was saying frequency out of range and the other was black). The solution was to disconnect one of the displays, reboot, activate the proprietary driver and re--do the whole configuration. Not a pleasant user experience. There is always a reason why a user choses to use a particular driver and/or configuration and it is annoying to see it reverted and reset to an inferior default.
