Public bug reported:

When dist-upgrading my KUbuntu 8.10 (I think it was .10 it was 8 at least) to
9.04 I get a bunch of errors that packages can't be configured because they are
already installed and configured, and later a general message for each that
they failed to install or upgrade:
libblkid1
java-common
sun-java6-jre
odbcinst1debian1
unixodbc
sun-java6-bin
ttf-arphic-uming
ttf-sazanami-gothic
ttf-sazanami-mincho
libgii1
libggi2
libcelt0
libglibmm-2.4-1c2a
libxml++2.6-2
libffado0
libsamplerate0
libjack0
esound-common
libesd-alsa0
mplayer
libbonobo2-common
libbonobo2-0
libavanhi-glib1
libgamin0
gamin
libgnomevfs2-common
libgnomevfs2-0
libgnome2-common
libgnome2-0
libwxbase2.6-0
libwxgtk2.6-0
wine
xutils-dev

After all these error windows were closed one by one, the dist upgrade
window was closed (I assume it crashed).
