Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to
improve Ubuntu.
I am closing this report as invalid, because unless you are getting this
error but are *not* using NFS, then this is a serious problem with the
state of your system directories during the upgrade. Packages cannot be
expected to do anything sensible if key directories on your system are
unavailable.
