Public bug reported:

Since, the fresh install of Ubuntu Jaunty Jackalope 9.04 i am
experiencing mouse issues. Each time the only way to fix the problem is
to reboot. i can't recreate the problem and it comes always
unexpectedly. Sometimes it just freezes and disappears and i can only
navigate with keyboard.

Just now i had Rhythmbox, Xchat, Cgoban (kgs-go server) and Firefox
open. I was writing an email when i suddenly couldn't move around with
the mouse the email was scrolling up and down on its own. I was able to
calm this by swithing to another window using contr.+alt+arrows.

Again using contr.+alt+arrows i could switch workspaces and go to Xchat
for eg and even type (keyboard) in the dialog but couldn't access File
tab for eg... only way to correct this debilitating experience is to
reboot.

Also, just now, i switched workspace and the screen flickered hectically
and uncontrollably from one workspace to another. I did not lose mouse
this time however and the system finally stabilized.

I have a microsoft IntelliMouse Optical usb and PS/2 compatible mouse.
I installed 32-bit 9.04 with ext4 on pc
