This is confirmed by a few people.
How to replicate:
Places -> Connect to server -> Select 'SSH' from the pull down menu. ->
Enter:
IP: internal IP to another ubuntu box
Port: 22
user: The user on the other computer
directory: /home/<user's dir>
bookmark: test
Now, connect and enter password, use "Remember password".
Now this should setup a hard link to //192.168.0.100/home/evilkane
It works the first time, but close it and open the link on the desktop,
and it goes back to /
