Binary package hint: gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg
Installing libavcodec-unstripped52 adds a number of new codecs to
ffmpeg, particularly a number of encoders. However, when libavcodec-
unstripped52 is installed, the list of gstreamer elements provided by
ffmpeg remains the same.
I checked this by running "gst-inspect0.10 ffmpeg" first with
libavcodec52 and then with libavcodec-unstripped52 installed. The output
in both cases is exactly the same.
On Jaunty with package versions:
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg: 0.10.6.2-1ubuntu2
libavcodec52: 3:0.svn20090303-1ubuntu6
libavcodec-unstripped52: 3:0.svn20090303-1ubuntu2+unstripped1
