Not really! There is a lot of activity on some other «freeze» bugs. 
In particular, look up #365527 and #359392. They're looking at the 
xorg intel driver which could very well be the culprit. I have yet 
to try a suggested work around but they really seem to be getting a 
handle on things.

I just may turn out that this bug is a duplicate.

I'm planning on installing and using Ubuntu and see if the same 
symptoms show up. If you can do the same, I think that will 
seriously help.
