This sounds a *lot* like you've passed "SKIP_CHECKS=1" to compiz. This *is* a limitation of your card - the maximum texture size is 2048x2048, and compiz represents each window as a texture. Since the desktop window is bigger than the maximum texture size, you get wierdness.
Compiz *should* be refusing to start for you. If you've told it to SKIP_CHECKS, then you've only got yourself to blame. If you haven't, then it would be a bug that it isn't refusing to start. There may also be a bug in that compiz won't be disabled when you dynamically add a second monitor - I'm not sure if this is handled. Could you attach the contents of your /etc/xdg/compiz directory and any ~/.config/compiz directory you may have? -- compiz only refreshes part of desktop/root window width, leaves ghosts in remaining area https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/89222 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
