An Update from 4-28-2009 started my font degradation as well. System 9.04 upgraded from 8.10 with no issues.
xorg.conf is generic and no settings. Adding Intel as driver made no difference. This is a Dell notebook with 845 Intel Graphics (rev 1) Using the Appearance Preferences and Font I can make the issue get worse and better by random changing options in details. It does not matter what you set it on it jumps from better to worse with font degrading. Rebooting clears the problem but after a few minutes the issue comes back. The best setting a the moment is to set Font Rendering to Monochrome. That way the text is at least readable. My system has been working fine up to the most recent updates. Is there a way to roll back those updates so I can use my system again? Is there a way to reset the UI to default? -- Fonts corrupted on Thinkpad X30 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/368877 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
